Medical, Dental & Minor Surgical Mission

December 15, 2008 – Narvacan

Every JCSMM is always spearheaded by Vice Governor Jeremias “Jerry” C. Singson. One of the largest number of patients, doctors and health care givers came about in the JCS Medical-Dental-Minor Surgical Mission in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur on December 15, 2008.

From the Provincial Health Office was Dr. Percival Savella (Dentist III), joined by Dr. Amando Agdeppa (Sinait District Hospital Chief); Dr. Federico Anaen (Salcedo Community Hospital Chief); Dr. Boying Degracia (SDH Medical officer III); Dr. Eugene Dauz (Tagudin General Hospital Chief);

Dr. Federico Anoren (Salcedo MHO); Dr. James Bueno (Santa MHO); Dr. Estrellita Bringas (GSGH Chief of Clinics); Dr. Lydia Hadap (Candon City Optometrist); Dr. Elalin Javillonar (Sta. Cruz MHO); Dr. Marilou Launio (Optometrist); Dr. Diana Lim (Narvacan MHO); Dr. Aurdie Narcise (CISDH Chief);

Dr. Efren Cabanit (Tagudin Dentist); Dr. Charlie Ingusan (Candon Dentist); Dr. Jingle Nartatez (Narvacan Dental); Dr. Benjamin Rabara (sta maria Dentiest); Dr. Anastasia delos reyes (Sinait Dentist); Dr. Edna Sanidad (Narvacan Dental);

Vice Governor’s Staff: Ms. Nenita Alamar and Ms. Melba Amano;

Other: Reflexologist from Tagudin RHU; volunteer nurses from GSGH and CISDH; medical and dental aids from vatious MHOs; student nurses from the University of Northern Philippines; Municipal officials and employees.

A total of 5,610 patients benefited from this humanitarian service, of which 4,218 underwent medical treatment; 603 pedia, 393 dental, 245 ophthalmology, 86 surgical treatment; 60 reflexology; and 5 derma.

Lunch and snacks were served at the municipal hall courtesy of Mayor Edgardo Zaragoza and Vice Mayor Charito Zaragoza. After lunch, Vice Governor JCS distributed reading glasses to eye patients preceded by a check-up and examination by Dr. Marilou Launio.

Day care chairs and tables (340 sets) were also distributed to day care workers as another favourite project of Vice Governor JCS.
